2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly and information collected automatically when you use the site.
Information you give us
- • Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number, and mailing or property address when you fill out a form, request a home valuation, use a calculator, take a quiz, or contact us.
- • Financial and transaction details you choose to share in connection with a real estate or mortgage inquiry, such as price range, timeline, or general loan scenario inputs.
- • Any messages or information you send us by email, text, or through a scheduling tool.
Information collected automatically
- • Device and usage data such as IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, pages viewed, links clicked, referring and exit pages, approximate location derived from IP address, and the dates and times of your visits.
- • Cookies, pixels, tags, web beacons, software development kits, and similar technologies placed by us and by our analytics and advertising partners, including Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) and Meta Platforms (the Meta Pixel and Conversions API), that record your activity on the site.
- • Online identifiers and advertising identifiers, including cookie IDs, device identifiers, and the events these tools record, such as page views, form submissions, calculator and quiz interactions, and valuation requests, which may be associated with your browser or device over time and across the sites in our network.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- • Respond to your requests, answer questions, and provide real estate and mortgage services.
- • Send you the information, valuations, market updates, or newsletters you request.
- • Operate, maintain, and improve the website and its tools.
- • Measure the performance of our marketing, understand how visitors find and use the site, and build audiences for advertising.
- • Show you relevant ads on other websites, apps, and platforms such as Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), including ads shown to you based on your prior visits to this site. This is known as remarketing, retargeting, or cross-context behavioral advertising.
- • Comply with legal, regulatory, and licensing obligations.
- • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.
4. Text Messages and Phone Calls (Consent)
When you provide your phone number and ask us to contact you, or opt in to updates, you consent to receive calls and text messages from Scott Buehler, including messages sent using automated technology, at the number you provide. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or of receiving real estate or mortgage services.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or text-message consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information in these limited situations:
- • Service providers who help us run the site and our business, such as hosting, analytics, email and text messaging, scheduling, and customer relationship tools, under agreements that limit their use of the data.
- • Advertising and analytics partners such as Google and Meta Platforms. Through the cookies, pixels, and tags described above, these partners receive online identifiers and information about your activity on the site so we can measure our marketing and show you relevant ads elsewhere. Under some state privacy laws this use of advertising technology is treated as a "sale" or "share" of personal information, even though no money changes hands. You can opt out as described in the "Cookies and Tracking" and "Your Privacy Rights" sections below.
- • Transaction partners needed to deliver the services you request, which may include the real estate brokerage, the mortgage lender, a referred buyer agent, title, escrow, or similar parties.
- • Legal and safety disclosures required by law, regulation, subpoena, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- • Business transfers in connection with a merger, sale, or reorganization of the business.
We do not share information that you provide as part of a mortgage application or other regulated financial transaction with advertising partners for their own purposes. We do not knowingly share precise financial-application details through advertising pixels.
6. Cookies, Pixels, and Advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies, including pixels, tags, and web beacons, to operate the site, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and support our marketing. Cookies are small files stored on your device. Some are necessary for the site to function, while others are used for analytics and advertising.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, and how you arrived. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Advertising and remarketing
We use Google Ads and the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), and we may use the Meta Conversions API, to advertise this site and to reach people who have visited it. We use remarketing to show ads to you on other sites and apps based on your past visits to this site.
Third-party vendors, including Google and Meta, use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your past visits to this and other websites. Because these cookies and identifiers are placed by Google, Meta, and other vendors rather than only by us, blocking cookies related to our site alone may not stop you from seeing these ads. You can manage or opt out of interest-based advertising through the controls below.
How to opt out of interest-based advertising
- • Google ad personalization, including Google Ads and Google Analytics advertising features: myadcenter.google.com and adssettings.google.com.
- • Meta ad preferences for Facebook and Instagram, in the Ad Preferences and Accounts Center sections of your Meta account.
- • Network Advertising Initiative industry opt-out: optout.networkadvertising.org.
- • Digital Advertising Alliance industry opt-out: optout.aboutads.info.
Browser controls and opt-out signals
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings, though some features may not work properly if cookies are disabled. Where required by law, we honor recognized browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). When you visit the site using a browser or extension that sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser, to the extent the law that applies to you provides that right.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request where the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
To opt out of targeted advertising and the sharing of your information with advertising partners, you can use the opt-out controls in the "Cookies, Pixels, and Advertising" section above, send a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser, or contact us using the email above.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. We do use advertising technologies that may be considered a "sale" or "share" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. To opt out, use the advertising opt-out controls above, send a Global Privacy Control signal, or contact us using the details above.
Utah and other state residents
Residents of Utah, under the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, and residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and others, may have similar rights, which can include the right to access, delete, and obtain a copy of personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising and certain sales of personal information. We honor verified requests as required by the law that applies to you.
8. Data Security and Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law.
9. Financial Information and Mortgage Inquiries
When you share financial information in connection with a mortgage inquiry or application, that information is also handled under the privacy practices of Guild Mortgage Company, the licensed lender through which mortgage services are provided, and is subject to federal financial privacy laws, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. We treat nonpublic personal financial information you provide for a mortgage transaction as confidential, use it only to evaluate and process your request, and do not share it with advertising partners for their own marketing purposes. Guild Mortgage Company provides its own privacy notice describing how it collects, uses, and shares financial information, and that notice governs the loan process.
10. Children's Privacy
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-Party Links
Our site may link to other websites and tools we do not control, including lender, brokerage, and scheduling platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
