Utah is a flat taxes state. Currently, our single income tax rate is 4.95% for all income levels. Since California has multiple tax brackets, most high-wage earners will save considerably on income taxes after moving from California to Utah. 14 years ago when I moved here, I was able to take advantage of significant income tax savings.
